A Celebration of 40 Years

Honoring our past by our dedication to the future… perpetuating the legacy.

40th Anniversary Gala
Saturday, November 15, 2008
7:00 pm - Midnight
Moody Gardens Hotel, Floral Ballroom

Save the Date!

This year marks The University of Texas School of Allied Health Sciences 40th Anniversary. UTMB SAHS became the first allied health professions school in the Southwest when it opened its doors in 1968. Since then, the school has graduated nearly 6,000 health care practitioners, most of whom work in the health care industry. More importantly, most SAHS alumni practice in Texas, fulfilling the school's goal to help meet the ever-increasing health care needs of the state's residents.

40th Anniversary Gala
The 40th Anniversary Gala is scheduled for Saturday November 15, 2008 at 7:00 pm. This is a MUST ATTEND event! The gala dinner will take place at the Moody Gardens Hotel and Convention Center in Galveston. Moody Gardens is a great destination for a weekend getaway and renowned for its great events and as a vacation destination. Professors, Faculty, staff, and alumni from the four decades, 1968-2008, will be invited.

Calling all Alumni
We don’t have contact information for all of you. Please pass on this announcement to your friends from SAHS and/or organize a table for the 40th Reunion. We have begun spreading the news to our Alums about this event, and are encouraged by their enthusiastic response. We hope to have a successful and well attended event.

Class Reps and Volunteers Needed
Please let us know if you’d like to help by serving on the alumni recruting committee. We need class representatives from each graduating year to serve on the committee to help spread the word about the Celebration!
